"Raku-Rant" is an automatic supply device for cutting fluid that creates cutting fluid by diluting water-soluble cutting oil to a specified concentration (0-10%) with water. It supplies the cutting fluid stored in the internal tank of the device to the machine tools via piping. It maintains and manages the amount of cutting fluid in the coolant tank on the machine tool side. It can automatically supply multiple machine tools. The company frequently experienced downtime due to the need to refill cutting fluid for their machining equipment. The process of diluting and refilling the cutting fluid took about 30 minutes each time, resulting in a waste of 450 minutes, or 7.5 hours, per day. After the introduction of the system, the cost of purchasing cutting oil has decreased by about 20%. In addition, they have combined various automation devices, such as a chip compactor, temperature management systems, and of course, robots for retrieving from lathes and stacker cranes for storing in shelves, to achieve "unmanned continuous processing." (formerly known as Yamazaki Machinery Manufacturing Co., Ltd.), which has introduced the automatic dilution supply device for cutting fluid "Raku-Ranto" handled by Komatsu Steel Co., Ltd. At the company, the equipment frequently stopped for replenishing cutting fluid for machining. The combined task of diluting and replenishing cutting fluid took about 30 minutes each time, resulting in a waste of 450 minutes, or 7.5 hours, per day. Although it is a job that anyone can do, someone had to do it. After the introduction, the purchase cost of cutting oil decreased by about 20%, amounting to approximately 1 million yen per year. In addition, they have realized "unmanned continuous processing" by combining various automation devices, including a device for compressing chips, temperature management, and of course, devices for retrieving from lathes and storing in shelves using stacker cranes.
